FactVote used the Legislative Fiscal Office's exact FY2026-27 all-funds total and fund mix from Table 54, then grouped the exact Table 52 agency totals without changing the denominator. FY2025 tax-source shares and audited activity come from the government-wide ACFR, and current tax-rate facts come from the Nebraska Department of Revenue.

  • Appropriations authorize spending and are not the same as actual expenditures; federal appropriations are estimates, and agencies may receive or spend federal funds subject to governing law and grant terms.
  • Table 53 reports Cash Funds and the FY2026-27 total one dollar higher than Table 54; this dataset uses Table 54 because it reconciles to the report's narrative and Table 52 total.
  • The University of Nebraska's cash, federal, and revolving amounts are reported in its biennial budget request but are not technically appropriated by the Legislature under the report's Board of Regents v. Exon disclosure.
  • The spending chart is a FactVote grouping of exact agency totals; programs within an agency can span more than one policy purpose.
  • FY2025 audited activity is on the accrual basis and is not the same measure or period as FY2026-27 appropriations.
  • The tax-source chart reflects taxes recognized by the State primary government and does not capture all local-government tax collections; local property and sales-tax rates vary.

Keep in mind
  • This measures in-state electricity generation, not total energy consumption or the generation mix of imported electricity.
  • EIA notes that independently rounded table components may not equal published totals exactly. The resource breakdown uses renewable generation—not total generation—as its denominator, and the percentages do not by themselves measure emissions, reliability, affordability, or land use.

Keep in mind
  • EIA does not publish a current Nebraska statewide weekly gasoline-price series. This Midwest regional estimate should not be read as Nebraska’s statewide average.
  • The regional average combines Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, and does not represent the price at every station or in every Nebraska community.
  • Prices are nominal and not adjusted for inflation or seasonal patterns. Weekly estimates can be revised and can differ from monthly averages.
  • Price changes alone do not establish the effect of any bill, official, or government action.
