Candidate biography

Source-published biography

John grew up on his family's dairy farm in West Glover, Vermont, where generations of Rodgers have lived and worked since 1838. Raised by his parents, John W. and Marie Rodgers, he learned early the values that continue to guide him today: hard work, honesty, personal responsibility, and treating everyone with respect. Like many Vermont families, the Rodgers family grew much of their own food, worked the land together, and believed no one should ever leave their home hungry. Those lessons stayed with John throughout his life.
