Constitutional government, civil rights, and individual freedom

Candidate position

Every vote Carlton Bowen casts in the U.S. House will begin with one question: Where is the Constitutional authority? If Congress has no constitutional authority for a bill, then the bill is unconstitutional — and it cannot be supported by anyone who takes their Constitutional oath of office seriously.

Debt and fiscal responsibility

The national debt is not a Democrat problem or a Republican problem. It is an American problem, and nothing exposes the failure of the two-party system more clearly than the national debt.

Over $1 trillion in 2026. Just in interest.

CBO projects net interest at $1.039 trillion in 2026, after $970 billion in 2025 - already more than the $893 billion defense budget in 2025.

Why this should stop you cold

Washington already spent more on interest than the entire defense budget in 2025, and CBO projects that cost will rise above $1 trillion in 2026.

You do not need a policy paper to see the danger. In 2025 alone, Washington spent $970 billion just on interest on the national debt - more than the entire defense budget in 2025 - and CBO says that cost will rise above $1 trillion in 2026! That is money gone just to pay for past borrowing. Not to defend the country. Not to meet new threats. Not to leave a stronger nation to the next generation. This is no longer a warning sign. It is the price the country pays when the two-party system puts political warfare ahead of responsible governing and it isn't sustainable.

What Bowen is saying

Principles of responsible governing

A serious campaign should be willing to say what the two-party system avoids saying: a country cannot stay strong, free, and self-governing if it treats fiscal discipline as optional.

Tell the truth

Stop pretending that endless borrowing is normal, harmless, or sustainable. Serious representation begins with serious honesty.

Put governing ahead of theater

Reward responsibility instead of rewarding permanent campaign warfare. The country needs discipline more than it needs another round of partisan performance.

Protect families and future generations

Fiscal irresponsibility does not disappear. It shows up later in weaker security, weaker opportunity, and greater burdens on American families.

Build something better

We offer Americans serious representation grounded in fiscal responsibility, national unity, and the courage to move beyond permanent political warfare.

Why this matters now

A country that treats fiscal discipline as optional eventually weakens its own security, stability, and self-government. This issue matters now because the price of delay keeps getting passed to American families and future generations.

Take action

Oppose the Box Elder Data Center project and use available constitutional powers of the U.S. House to try to reverse the MIDA approval.

Carlton Bowen opposes the Box Elder Data Center. The public still lacks complete answers about the water source and total water demand, what the facility will be used for, whether it could become part of the infrastructure for a tyrannical global programmable-money regime, the opaque MIDA approval route and later executive-order exemption, and whether decision-makers may profit privately.

The officials and decision-makers listed below were asked to make one simple public commitment: disclose any financial interest connected to the Box Elder Data Center and promise not to profit privately from the project.

Carlton Bowen is warning about the possibility of an interoperable programmable-money system in which access to the financial system becomes a tool of control. In such a system, institutions could restrict or withdraw a person’s ability to buy, sell, work, save, or provide for a family. His concern is whether the Box Elder Data Center could someday support the computing infrastructure for such a system. Because the project’s intended uses have not been fully disclosed, he is demanding a complete and verifiable explanation.

The public still has no complete answer about where the water will come from, what the facility will be used for, why this project was pushed through the MIDA approval path, whether it could become part of the infrastructure for a tyrannical global programmable-money regime, or whether public officials connected to the decision will profit privately.

Strengthen Families

Families are the foundation of a strong society and a free nation. A married husband and wife raising children together remains the ideal family structure and should be acknowledged as such, while honoring the many parents, grandparents, adoptive families, foster families, and extended families doing their best in difficult circumstances.

The federal government did not create the family and cannot replace it. But Washington can stop weakening families, stop punishing marriage, respect parental rights, protect religious liberty, and reduce the federal burdens that make ordinary family life harder.

Members of Congress do not take an oath to a party, a president, a donor class, or the political mood of the moment. They take an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.

As your representative, Carlton will expect every major piece of legislation to answer a basic question: what constitutional authority allows Congress to do this? If there is no constitutional authority, the answer should be no.

The public still has no complete answer about where the water will come from, what the facility will be used for, why this project was pushed through the MIDA approval path, whether it could become part of the infrastructure for a global programmable-money regime, or whether public officials connected to the decision will profit privately.

The national debt is now a direct threat to America’s security. Last fiscal year, the United States spent more on interest on the national debt than on national defense. That is not just wasteful. It is dangerous. A nation that cannot control its debt will eventually struggle to provision its military, replenish munitions, rebuild its industrial base, and respond to real threats.
