I was raised in Ogden, UT, the oldest of 4 boys, to a conservative Catholic household where politics never trumped humanity. My parents enrolled me in Catholic school, and going to the same school and seeing most of the same people from the age of 4 to 18 instilled a sense of togetherness and collective accomplishment in me.
