Lloyd Smucker wants to reignite the American Dream. He believes this can be achieved by working to increase economic opportunities for everyone, reining in Washington’s out-of-control spending, and providing regulatory relief to small businesses so they can expand and create jobs.Prior to being elected to Congress in 2016, Rep. Smucker owned and operated the Smucker Company for 25 years and grew the small business to eventually employ hundreds of people. He served two terms in the Pennsylvania State Senate, where he led the charge to hold elected officials accountable by proposing reforms to the ethics guidelines. He was also the Chairman of the Pennsylvania Senate Education Committee, ensuring our students receive a quality education and passed legislation to ensure schools receive fair funding.

Security & Border Protection

Candidate position

We need a strong leader in the White House to ensure our safety and security domestically and abroad. We need to project strength to avoid conflict. We must get operational control of the southern border and invest in a wall and technology to support our border patrol agents. I’ve seen it firsthand and spoken with border patrol agents about the challenges we face at the southern border. It is the largest entry point for human and drug trafficking, and the ripple effects jeopardize our safety in PA-11.

Education

Candidate position

When Democrats shut down schools, our children paid the emotional and developmental price. We need to empower parents to make educational choices for their children and stop one-size-fits-all approaches. As a non-traditional student myself, I know how important it is that we invest in our students’ future and technical education.

I will continue to defend the 2nd Amendment right of my constituents and I’m proud of my Pro-2A voting record. We cannot allow the rights of law-abiding citizens to be taken away. It shall not be abridged.

Abortion

Candidate position

All life is sacred and I’m proud of my 100% pro-life voting record in protecting our nation’s most vulnerable. We must continue to build a culture in America that respects the dignity of life. I was happy to see the United States Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade.

Energy

Candidate position

American energy is the cleanest and cheapest way to produce oil and gas. We must cut the red tape and increase domestic oil and gas production. It is especially important that we have our own energy and not be dependent on our enemies, including Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and China. American energy exploration and innovation will lower gas and home electricity costs. We have abundant natural resources to make energy more affordable and cleaner for hard-working families. We must also pursue renewable energy sources, but those decisions should be driven by the free market, not government.

Security & Border Protection

Candidate position

We are in a war of ideas in Washington, and I’ll fight every day to defend, protect and promote the values of the 11th Congressional District. The woke Left wants to systematically change our economic and social institutions, and I won’t stand for it. We must fight for individual freedom and free enterprise, which have made this country the greatest in the world.

Every numbered U.S. House roll call published by the Clerk during the configured service window is reconciled through the member's exact Bioguide ID. Clerk XML through 2002 does not publish Bioguide IDs, so those rows require a candidate-specific official House identity and service bridge plus one unique exact published-name, party, and state tuple. A published roll without an identity-safe row is retained as an explicit source omission and is not labeled as a vote or absence. Voice votes and other actions without member-level roll calls are outside this archive.
