I want to transition our society from a Mommy (liberal), Daddy (conservative), or Providential (totalitarian) government to that of maximal individual liberty, and respect for others’ right to the same (libertarian). To this end, I will seek to add an amendment to the Constitution: Government shall make no law respecting an establishment of a School of Philosophy, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. With this, government will no longer effectively turn you into a slave of the state.

I offer myself as a Great Compromise between liberals (who have been trying to use the Democratic Party to take over the government to impose a liberal lifestyle on everyone) and conservatives (who have been trying to use the Republican Party to take over the government to impose a conservative lifestyle on everyone). I promise the liberals that a libertarian government will not impose a conservative lifestyle, and promise the conservatives that a liberal lifestyle will not be imposed. Both must be convinced that their century-old war will never be won, and that their current form of compromise — liberals trading away social freedoms to conservatives for trading away economic freedoms — is incrementally leading us to totalitarianism that, along with a mountain of budget, deficit, and debt to feed that totalitarian government, will eventually destroy the dollar and produce an economic meltdown of historic proportions. The libertarian form of compromise will be for more freedom and liberty, and less government programs, laws, subsidies, and taxation.
Defensive, Noninterventionist Military
Candidate positionFactVote summary · PolicyLimit the military to national defense rather than protecting overseas investments, resources, or private travel abroad.
- Would maintain a much smaller standing army; allied military assistance would be tied to an ally being attacked and reciprocal defense.

Our military will be truly defensive, and will not be used to protect overseas capital investments, access to raw materials, or even protection of citizens venturing abroad. Alliances will be restricted to defending principles consistent with our Constitution. Our military will be designed around our protection only, which means we will have a very small standing army. We will lend our forces to our allies if they are attacked, and depend on them reciprocating if we are attacked. Foreign aid and tariffs will be eliminated, replaced by voluntary charity and boycotts. Embassies/consulates will be reduced to one per country, and then eliminated altogether due to obsolescence. Citizenship will be made sovereign to the individual, able to be bought and sold on the open market.

Government will no longer forcibly collect charity and determine which charities merit funding. Government will not support or fund or displace any charity. People will then donate their tax savings to causes of their choice, eliciting the happiness of charity to another human being or the community rather than the disdain of the tax bill.
Phase Out Entitlements

- States that the transition should account for people who have become dependent on current programs.

I begrudge nobody for trying to get any and all entitlements possible for themselves. We have a mixed economy, and everyone has the duty to provide as good a life for themselves and their families as possible. But we need to change the laws so that these entitlements are slowly but surely eliminated, so as to eliminate the dependency, and eliminate the forced taxation needed to fund the entitlements. There is no moral justification for this form of government-enforced charity.
Term Limits and Government Retirement Reform
Candidate positionFactVote summary · PolicySupport term limits, end retirement-benefit contributions for elected officials, and shift government employee pensions toward 401(k)-style plans.

Not only will I support term limits, but no elected official should receive retirement benefit contributions. And all government employees should have their pensions migrated to 401’Ks — they need to have skin in the game before they place stifling regulations and taxes on industry. I will eliminate all campaign information from the ballot. (No more D’s, R’s, L’s, or Incumbents.) The government will no longer recognize or regulate political parties or other associations — that is the business of the associations themselves. They will be self-governing. I hope they will be transparent, but that is for them to decide.
I will work toward replacing personal and business income taxes with a transaction tax, which includes a tax on income. The rate will be the same on all goods and services and income, with no exemptions. The rate applied will be revenue-neutral at first, and then will be lowered as government shrinks. Taxation will not be used for social engineering purposes.

I will work toward the emancipation of unions. They will have the same rights to associate as any other voluntary group. The government will no longer regulate or support the efforts of this group, or any other group. They will be self-sufficient. They will not be allowed to initiate the use of force against an individual or another group, as initiating unwanted force against an individual or group will be against the law. Education Vouchers and Privatization

The text below is the exact source material used for this statement.
Government has continually worked to erode the joy and reward of being a parent. Children have become a ward of the state, with parents operating as agents of the state. Parents have now incurred huge legal risks — and possible loss of their children — if they don’t parent as demanded by the state’s ideal. Avoidance of the state’s definitions of child negligence, and having to indoctrinate children to the state’s ideals, have added unnecessary and unwanted burden to parenting. No wonder people are choosing to not have kids these days. With this, the government will be removed from parental responsibilities and activities. Parents will decide what level of risk is appropriate for their children. Parents have the fundamental right to bring up their kids as they choose. With this, I will work toward creating a voucher and education account system for funding a child’s education. The state will fund the students, not the schools. Schools will be privatized, letting parents choose the schools and curriculum that best fits their parenting plan, and not that of a politically connected Board. Schools will no longer be a vehicle to indoctrinate kids to the philosophy and politics of the latest school Board, or Department of Education, official. The parents will choose the schools, having their own ideals. Under this model, too much politicization of the curriculum will cause students to go elsewhere, ultimately leading to the bankruptcy of the school and the loss of administrators’ and teachers’ jobs. Accountability will thus have been inserted into the education industry. Related to this, I will promote the privatization of schools and colleges, and get the government out of this business.
Debt and Deficit Risk
Candidate positionFactVote summary · Issue AssessmentArgues that persistent federal deficits and rising national debt risk a loss of confidence in Treasury debt and the dollar, potentially leading to severe inflation and economic collapse.

I’ve been able to construct a financially secure and sufficient lifestyle for myself and my 12- and 14-year-old kids based on our existing economy. The only thing that will disrupt this lifestyle will be a monumental crash of our economy. And barring other tragedies, the only thing that will disrupt a good life for my kids will be that they have to live out their lives in a totalitarian world. Thus, the existence of a significant risk of the establishment of a totalitarian society, made possible by a Great, Great Depression, precipitated by a default in US Treasury bonds, as a result of reckless deficit spending by government, is justification enough to have me jump into the political arena to make all this not happen. It is my chosen charitable gift to humanity. All other issues are subordinate to removing any risk of our economy collapsing because of a runaway national debt.
One-Time Wealth Confiscation for Gains Tied to Government Collusion

I am running for US Senate in hopes of reforming the Libertarian Party’s message so that the general public will actually entrust us with transforming our society to one that is libertarian. Because — let’s face it — our current message and political tactics have failed miserably at the polls, and after almost 50 years of effort, our nation is closer to becoming totalitarian than it is libertarian. Our party’s status is even worse — Libertarians have so little faith in the efficacy of our own message, tactics, and candidates, that many will choose to not vote for Libertarians, let alone support them with their time and money such that we might actually have a chance at winning an election. Clearly, something has to change. My campaign will not only address the goodness of Libertaria, but what we would need to do to get from our current situation to where we want to be (Libertaria). A smart, fair, and above all — compassionate — plan that will minimize the pain of transformation to everyone in our society who have had to design and live out their lives around an inefficient, unjust, and immoral government. What would we do on Day 1, Month 1, Year 1, Decade 1, and the years after that? How will we make sure we don’t ruin the lives of so many that have become dependent on the current system, and yet, make sure that such a destructive system is dismantled as quickly as possible? I have the answers. And after the dismantling, we must address the situation where some people were victims of the past status quo, while others profited immensely — just as the Nazis were stripped of their ill- gotten loot after WWII, those that accumulated wealth via deals and collusion and corruption and manipulation with statist government officials will be defrocked with a one-time wealth confiscation and transfer to the previously disaffected. After this, we can move forward in freedom, liberty, and justice.
