Candidate statement

Candidate position

President Trump isn't going to say it, but he is preparing for global war. You can't fight a war without domestic manufacturing resources. He has 18-24 months to get as much manufacturing of all types back to the United States before international shipping becomes complicated. It is a near certainty that China wants to fully integrate Taiwan under its control and that is likely to create a geopolitical shockwave. It is also behind his push to take over Greenland. We have to our best to stay out of a major war so that reinvestment in American infrastructure can take place. Read More

Rise Of The Machines

Candidate position

The machines are rising to operate both the free market and the government. Are we prepared for this? AI is a technology that has the potential to evade human guard rails due to the speed at which it continues to learn. The ability to evade defenses will be a hallmark of both corporate and military AI systems. How do we maintain governmental accountability in a system that is operated largely by government AI autonomously? The potential for a SkyNet scenario is very real. Read More

Minimum Wage

Candidate position

Due to the increased demand for labor in the very near future (before AI fully takes hold), it is my position that the federal minimum wage has to increase from $7.25/hour to $17/hour. Part of reducing the size of the welfare state involves offering higher starting wages that a family of 2 can live on working 40 hours/week each. That is not possible in any state at this time.
