Gaming, tourism, and hospitality

Candidate position

The Lt. Governor chairs the Nevada Commission on Tourism and the Advisory Board on Outdoor Recreation. As a native Nevadan I have an understanding of the critical importance of tourism to Nevada’s economy. The livelihood of many Nevada families depends on tourism. Economy, jobs, taxes, and affordability

Candidate position

The Lt. Governor is a member of the Board of Economic Development. We have witnessed many people leaving California in the last few years. Many of them come to live in Nevada. We have no state income tax and other taxes are lower than California. It is important to keep our taxes low. I would advocate that lowering Nevada’s taxes would increase our economic growth and prosperity. When citizens and businesses keep more of their own money, they buy more, they invest more, they create more jobs and opportunities for all Nevadans.
