As a three-sport athlete who graduated early while working to support herself, Lisa knows it takes hard work to get ahead.Like many Michiganders, Lisa worked her way through college, earning her business degree from Northwood University. She spent 30 years in the private sector, working her way to the top. After a decade at American Express, she helped start a successful business, Hantz Financial, where she continued building her strong business background. As a self-made business leader, Lisa knows what it’s like to sign both sides of a paycheck.Today, Lisa and her husband, Mike, live in Romeo. A proud mother of four, Lisa is also a runner who completed the Detroit Marathon, a former 10+ year softball coach, and dog-mom to a King Cavalier named “Peanut.” Today, she continues playing ball for charity on both the Congressional Baseball Team and at the Congressional Women’s Softball Game.Since taking office in 2021, Lisa has always fought to put Michigan first and has worked to:

Economy, taxes, and trade

Candidate position

After years of reckless spending and excessive red tape from the Biden-Harris administration, we need economic policies that will spur job growth and put our economy back on track. Americans want the government out of the way, higher take home pay, and lower taxes. I will support reducing taxes on hard working Americans and rolling back regulations that stifle small business growth. As your Congresswoman, I will support free and fair international trade policies that are crucial for all sectors of our economy. This will create jobs, end economic uncertainty, and keep America competitive.

Immigration and border security

Candidate position

We must secure our borders, period, full stop. The Biden Border crisis allowed violent criminals, human traffickers, and even terrorists to slip through and come into our country. We need to build a wall and enforce our immigration laws to the fullest extent. I will continue fighting to ensure our law enforcement agencies have the resources to keep our communities safe, and I am committed to working with President Trump to restore safety and security to our nation.

Second Amendment

Candidate position

I am a strong defender of the 2nd Amendment. I strongly support an individual's right to own guns, which is clearly protected by the Constitution. I believe the 2nd Amendment enables law-abiding citizens throughout the country to own firearms to protect themselves and their families. I oppose federal licensing of law-abiding gun owners and national gun registration. Since I began serving as your Representative in Congress, I have completely opposed any action that puts any level of restrictions on our right to keep and bear arms.

Abortion

Candidate position

Health care

Candidate position

The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) in its current form is not affordable for the vast majority of American consumers. Millions of people have decided they no longer can afford health insurance under this disastrous law. It drives up premiums and deductible costs for individuals, families, and employers. It also fuels waste, fraud, and abuse. To fix it, we need to reintroduce more competition to the market and ensure patient-centered solutions that will drive down costs.

Abortion

Candidate position

Not a single tax dollar should pay for an abortion, which is why I'm a strong supporter of the Hyde Amendment. The most essential duty of government is to defend the life of the innocent.

Agriculture

Candidate position

AGRICULTURE Agriculture is one of the largest industries in Michigan’s Thumb. In Congress, I work to protect our farmers from harmful regulations that impact their land use and water rights as well as their bottom line. Farmers are the best stewards of their land and should be the ones to determine how they farm it — not bureaucrats in Washington. To strengthen our agricultural industry, I will continue pushing for trade agreements that benefit our farmers. This will increase exports, promote competition, and lower food prices. The truth is, food security is national security. Our nation’s food supply is vital and your farms shouldn’t be on an auction block for foreign governments. I am committed to defending your family-owned farms and land from foreign nations looking only to gain shady influence.

Every numbered U.S. House roll call published by the Clerk during the configured service window is reconciled through the member's exact Bioguide ID. Clerk XML through 2002 does not publish Bioguide IDs, so those rows require a candidate-specific official House identity and service bridge plus one unique exact published-name, party, and state tuple. A published roll without an identity-safe row is retained as an explicit source omission and is not labeled as a vote or absence. Voice votes and other actions without member-level roll calls are outside this archive.
