Managing Risk - Guardrails Against Overcorrection

Candidate position

Accountability reform must avoid unintended consequences. Overly complex rules can create paralysis or a politicized environment. Reforms should prioritize clarity, enforceability, and proportionality. This is crucial to deterring misconduct without weakening effective governance.

What is Opportunity?

Candidate position

Opportunity means that if you are willing to work hard, plan, and take responsibility, the system does not quietly work against you. This requires affordable living costs, open pathways to work and housing, and a government focused on removing barriers rather than creating new ones.

Strengthen Regional Energy Reliability

Candidate position

I will support policies and coordination that help New England secure reliable energy supply. This will include working with neighboring states on infrastructure decisions that affect price and reliability. Specifically, I will advocate to surge federal resources to expand critical Liquified Natural Gas (“LNG”) infrastructure between the Marcellus Shale formation in North Eastern Pennsylvania to New England.

Modernize nuclear permitting and accelerate next-generation nuclear

Fix permitting and regulatory bottlenecks

Candidate position

A major driver of our high costs is that it is simply too difficult, slow, and expensive to build. This includes residential housing, infrastructure, or new business facilities. It takes too much time and money to grow a new or existing business. These regulatory bottlenecks also drive businesses out of Massachusetts as they seek better business climates in other states. These delays don’t just slow projects, they raise costs for families and push investment away from Massachusetts.

Secure Borders and Restore Lawful Order

Candidate position

The current immigration system is strained at both the border and within the legal process. When laws are inconsistently enforced and cases take years to resolve, disorder replaces clarity and public confidence declines. The system has become unfair to taxpayers, legal immigrants who follow the rules, and communities expected to manage federal responsibilities and expectations without adequate support. Such inefficiency within this system also encourages and exacerbates illegal immigration because of the lack of a clear-cut path. A strained immigration system fuels countless issues within the country, state, and local community.

What is Accountability?

Candidate position

Accountability is not a slogan — it’s how a functioning Republic works. When public institutions operate under clear rules, transparency, and enforceable boundaries, trust builds over time. When those guardrails weaken, or become unevenly applied, confidence erodes. This plan focuses on structural reforms Congress can implement to strengthen oversight, reduce conflicts of interest, and clarify constitutional roles. This will make it easier to serve with integrity, and harder to misuse public power.

Here is what I will do to advance in Congress:

Candidate position

Veterans’ education benefits have been one of the most successful paths to opportunity in modern national history. We should protect them and explore expanding similar models for other public service pathways. I would advocate for GI-Bill style pathways for those public service programs like the Peace Corps, Teach for America, Americorps, City Year, etc. I would also advocate for the recreation of the Civilian Conservation Corps (“CCC”) in order to allow young Americans to improve the National Parks and infrastructure of the country and then leave the CCC with skills in critical trades that could then be transferred to the free-market economy. This can be done in a fiscally responsible way. A modern CCC could initially operate under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which has the expertise to deliver large scale projects efficiently. At the same time, many existing workforce programs are fragmented, duplicative, and often ineffective. Consolidating those resources and redirecting them toward service-based models with clear outcomes would improve results without expanding the size of government. Stronger accountability would ensure that taxpayer dollars are tied to measurable economic returns and renewed public trust.

America’s strength has always depended on its ability to align individual opportunity with national purpose. A renewed commitment to public service would do exactly that. It is a necessary investment in the country’s future.
