Source-published biography

A fifth generation Kansan, he was born and raised on his family farm just south of Quinter. He was the fifth generation to live in the house on the family farm which his great great grandfather ordered from Montgomery Ward catalogue in the early 1900’s. Tracey learned the value of hard work by working in the fields and feed yard with his grandfather, father, and brother. He spent countless hours on a tractor and combine and worked thousands of head of cattle. Some of his fondest memories of those days were working cattle with his family on Saturday afternoons while listening to K-State football on the radio. He was also actively involved in 4H.

Every numbered U.S. House roll call published by the Clerk during the configured service window is reconciled through the member's exact Bioguide ID. Clerk XML through 2002 does not publish Bioguide IDs, so those rows require a candidate-specific official House identity and service bridge plus one unique exact published-name, party, and state tuple. A published roll without an identity-safe row is retained as an explicit source omission and is not labeled as a vote or absence. Voice votes and other actions without member-level roll calls are outside this archive.
