Dr. Ralph Heap is a fourth-generation Arizonan, orthopedic surgeon, and former state representative who has spent decades serving patients, schools, and communities across Arizona. He’s running for the Arizona Corporation Commission to put ratepayers first: push back on ESG and California-style energy schemes, keep utility bills from punishing families and seniors, protect a reliable and diverse grid, and stand up for rural water and infrastructure with real transparency—not special-interest deals.

I am a physician and proud fourth generation Arizonan. I am happily married to my wife Denise and have three children and eight wonderful grandchildren. Denise and I believe in service and have worked extensively with several local charities. In addition, we have volunteered numerous times for medical missions in the third world, treating children with severe Orthopedic disabilities. In the third world energy shortages are the rule and are a major contributor to the extreme poverty. We here in Arizona are placing our own future in jeopardy as the utilities move to embrace the "Green New Deal" as our major source of power generation. This with the acknowledgement and full support of our Corporation Commissioners. This is on top of the now routine double digit rate increases. I pledge that as a Corporation Commissioner I will Champion a return to the commonsense energy policies outlined in the Trump Energy Agenda. I will push for more transparency in the rate making process and block the unreasonable increases now pushed by our utilities. We need Commissioners unafraid to put the future needs of our State and the rate payers as their number one priorities.
